Deputy Dan - A Tribute To Steely Dan Norfolk Concert reviews
Eric Clapton was boring, didn't play later hits
A Tribute To Steely Dan - Deputy Dan, a veteran guitar player of 42 years, was disappointing. Show was very boring, played very straight, and did not include later hits like Lay down Sally, Had Enough of Bad Blood, Pretending, etc. The unplugged and straight blues could have been appreciated more in a small blues setting. I could have heard more interesting Blues guitar at any club on Bourbon Street. His tune selection was for VERY SIMPLE. Roger Daltry, on the other hand, should have been the main show and was phenomenal. Clapton could have been more interesting but chose not to. Guess I would have needed to be 65 to appreciate the tunes he chose to perform. Oh, and why didn't invite Roger Daltry for a tune? Or even mention his name? Oh BTW, 50 yr old veteran guitar player. Puzzling.
